Richard Brown’s distinguished legal career has been marked by service and commitment. From 2004 to 2024, he served as a State of Illinois judge in the Twentieth Circuit Court, serving as the presiding circuit court judge in Randolph County for over 12 years. Prior to his judicial service, Richard served as a public defender for 18 years, representing individuals without the financial ability to hire a lawyer.

In his private practice, Richard has represented corporate and municipal clients in general legal matters and disputes. He has also advised clients in estate planning, drafting trusts and wills, and litigating will contests and estate disputes in Illinois state and appellate courts.
